Avoid going to this temple if you strongly oppose gender bias. Upon entering, there are separate sections for men and women. What disappointed me was being told that the priest would not perform prayers for women because he could not see a woman’s face — rather that a woman needs to pray on her own. I found this practice exclusionary and does not align with the principle of treating everyone with equal respect and dignity. I left feeling unwelcome and I would not recommend this temple to anyone looking for an inclusive place of worship. We will complain to the appropriate government authorities! This is Australia, men and women have equal rights as we all pay tax which is being used to make this temple!

Shree Swaminarayan Temple is one of the beautiful and peaceful temple located in Eastern suburbs in Boronia, Belgrave line. The temple's structure is beautiful and the inside is even more beautiful with many God and Goddesses sculptures and statues. There are statues of Shiva- Parvati, Rama, Ganesh, Hanuman and main statue Lord Shree Swaminarayan at the centre. The inside feel is absolutely peaceful. You don't have to wait for Pujari (Priest) for puja, you can bring your things and do puja by yourself, though there is a certain fixed times for arati & aradhana. You will get enough shoes & slippers space keeper outside the temple entrance, you will also get washrooms at the corner of first entrance. Further, you can also buy ladoos and other prasads just at the corner of the temple, but you have to check about its opening hours. Specially, if you are Hindu and spiritual by nature then you must visit this temple.

Great temple but don’t really understand the segregation of men and women with pillar. Been to other Swaminarayan Mandirs but such a big pillar in the middle isn’t present. However, total respect for culture and what they do. Pandit ji face prasad as well.

I recently attended the Annakut Mahotsav at the Swaminarayan Hindu Temple on New Year's Day, and it was truly a delightful experience! The temple's celebration was spectacular, with a variety of delectable dishes offered during the event. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the food was beautifully presented as part of the annakut. It was a fantastic way to usher in the new year, surrounded by the spiritual ambiance of the temple and enjoying such amazing culinary offerings. Highly recommend attending this event next year!

Wonderful Indian New Year celebrations with 108 dishes at Swami Narayan Temple. What a delight! Amazing experience. Great place to pray. Felt at peace here. Worth checking out this temple.
