I recently visited this temple and had a truly peaceful and uplifting experience. The atmosphere was calm and spiritually enriching, making it a perfect place to pause, reflect, and reconnect. The architecture and intricate details were beautiful, and there was a strong sense of harmony throughout the space. What stood out to me most was the feeling of balance — almost like everything aligned in a simple yet meaningful way, much like the symbolism of the number 5, which often represents harmony between the physical and spiritual worlds. The staff and visitors were respectful, adding to the serene environment. Whether you’re visiting for prayer, meditation, or simply to admire the beauty, this temple is definitely worth experiencing. I left feeling refreshed and centered, and I would happily return again.

We visited the temple on Tuesday around 12pm. The main idols were closed while the worship was going on, opened once it was completed. It was very calm, cool and peaceful inside although very hot outside. Puja thalis are available for purchase inside the temple. The canteen is open on weekends only in the evening. The temple campus is big and has toilet facilities. Very easily accessible by public transport, short bus ride from Parramatta train station.

Beautiful, peaceful and very well- kept temple. The pandits are kind and do the rituals wholeheartedly. Long operating hours makes it easier for us to visit often even on weekdays. Parking is available but on special occasions may full quickly.

Sydney Murugan Temple is located in Mays Hill, in the state of New South Wales. The temple was established by a Hindu society — Saiva Mandram — in 1985. The members of Saiva Mandram worked diligently for nearly ten years to bring this temple to life. The main sanctum consists of three chambers — the central one dedicated to the presiding deity, Lord Murugan, and the two on either side dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Ambal. Other deities enshrined in the temple include Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, Goddess Meenakshi, Goddess Durga, the Navagrahas, Lord Vairavar, and Lord Sandigeswarar. The temple provides ample parking facilities for visitors. Surrounding the temple grounds is a beautifully maintained garden filled with roses and other flowers, adding to the serene atmosphere. A canteen operated by the temple Devaswam offers delicious items such as dosa varieties, poori, vada, appam, cake, and masala tea at moderate prices. The canteen is open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during the evening hours. I warmly recommend all Hindu devotees to visit this temple and experience its divine atmosphere.
