Gurdwara mean “doorway to the Guru” The Gurdwara is the place of learning and worship where the Sikh community gathers. Visitors of any background can seek shelter, comfort, and food through the institution of langar, a free community kitchen open to all. Because the Sikh faith does not have an ordained clergy, any woman or man from the congregation may lead religious services.

Great welcoming sangat here. This gurdwara is a very peaceful place and no doubt the culmination of years of hard work and a well run and cohesive management committee. It’s a pity some other gurdwaras aren’t managed as well. Will definitely make this my regular place.

I am an Australian who went to the Sikh temple around a month ago. I was the only Australian person there. There were also no Chinese, no Africans etc, only Indians. Is this a welcoming and inviting place for all people, including Australians or only for Indians? Why are there only Indians there when at a Christian Church there are Australians and foreigners? Please help me to understand this.
